Review: ‘Treasured Lands’ Photography Book by QT Luong

If you’re planning a photography trip this summer or autumn to one of America’s National Parks, I very much recommend picking up a copy of QT Luong’s book, “Treasured Lands.” It’s full of incredibly useful information geared towards photographers and the images are stunning. It’s both a perfect coffee book table and a useful guide to the parks. Read my review here on Fstoppers.

First Look: Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM and FE 12-24mm f/4 G Lenses

Last week, Sony invited me to be a part of their first annual Kando Trip which took place at El Capitan Canyon just north of Santa Barbara, California. The special event was a gathering of their professional Artisan and Collective teams of photographers and moviemakers, along with many others that have played a part in Sony’s remarkable recent successes in digital imaging.

One special reason I was there was to check out the newly announced wide-angle lenses that they’ve been working on: the FE 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master and the FE 12-24mm f/4 G. The day before Sony made the public announcement, I had a chance to use both of these lenses and write up a little first-look article about my experience. Check out my thoughts here on Fstoppers.

Review: VAIO Z Canvas Tablet Computer

Photographers working on the go need a computer that can be versatile enough to take on what’s handed to them, while still being portable enough to carry everywhere. In this review I take a look at the VAIO Z Canvas tablet laptop which features a fully-detachable wireless keyboard, digital stylus pen for photo editing, 12.3-inch touchscreen display, and a full Windows 10 Pro experience powered by an i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM. Check out what I thought here.
